What a busy place a lunch time. Great food and great service. I had a turkey sandwich which was good. The roast beef is absolutely delish on that fresh bread. It was a bit too loud with its concrete floors and no sound buffers. I'll guess it gets quite loud when all the seats are full. Luckily for takeout the service is quite fast. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I only wish they have the same retail as their store on Shore Drive. And what a pleasant surprise to see a line of Benzs parked in front. Some people have such great TASTE!
I visited Taste in Virginia Beach, didn't realize we had one here in Newport News in City Center. Doesn't have the outside space of Virginia Beach but inside and menu appear the same Ordered a seasonal salad 📍Summer Farmstand Salad Quite a good salad the asparagus was a bit reedy though, the dressing was quite nice and the burrata cheese and peaches were great. I picked up one of The taste tumblers. Did not realize it was $30 but it's very cute and will keep drinks from sweating as the temperatures rise
We ordered lunch to our office and the door dasher delivered the wrong order. After contacting TASTE they remade the order and delivered it themselves. We very much appreciate their service and will most definitely be ordering again and picking up or eating in next time!! We even keep in mind for future catering orders. THANK YOU!!
My absolute favorite sandwich place. The people are always friendly, the food is delicious, and it comes out quick. I stop in every time Im nearby. If it was closer to work I'd have to modify my budget!
Taste in Newport News has a relaxed, laid-back vibe that makes it a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner option. Great sandwiches and wraps that's prepared fresh and made to order. Despite not being a vega, the vegan chocolate chip cookie was a standout.
In 2020, I tried Taste for the very first time and still get that exact sandwich every time I return! I got a Hilltop sandwich with their house dressing and apples, carrots, sweet peppers and onions. This remains one of the BEST deli sandwiches I have ever had and my husband and daughter order that same sandwich now too!
Taste is a staple in this area. I’ve always received good service and good food at any location. Today, Abby surpassed service expectations - I accidentally ordered the wrong sandwich (completely my fault) and she got me the correct order quickly and without batting an eye. Thank you for making my day with your kindness!
This coffee shop provides a great balance of quality service and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the experience enjoyable from the moment I arrived. The coffee tasted fresh and was served promptly. The seating area was comfortable and the shop appeared clean and organized. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would recommend this location.
We decided to try out Taste for lunch and so glad we did! The atmosphere is awesome! Love the layout and the fact everything is earth friendly. The service was exceptional and the food was so delicious! Never had pimento cheese until now, and it's great! We actually left NOT feeling sludgy but rather satisfied. Definitely in our top 10!
Good sandwich shop with a lot of options. I have only been once, but the food was fresh and the sandwich I got tasted really good. Portions were solid and it was filling. The desserts were also awesome, especially the key lime pie. Service was quick and the staff was friendly. It seems like a reliable spot for a quick lunch or takeout. Overall I would come back again.
